2007 Draft Class

by Joe Carrot

April 30, 2007

The new class of NFL rookies have now all found their homes.  Led by JaMarcus Russell and Calvin

Johnson, this year's class should contain many instant contributors.  Can Brady Quinn actually perform this

year for the Browns or will he choke in every big game? Can Adrian Peterson become this year's Reggie Bush,

getting all the big, flashy plays alongside the conservative Chester Taylor? Who will be this year's Marques

Colston?

With Mcgahee gone, Marshawn Lynch should be able to win the starting job on Buffalo and possibly

become the most valuable offensive rookie.  Below are my rankings of the rookies taken in the 1st round

this year in terms of their fantasy ability.  However, there are also multiple potential quality contributors

in the later rounds.  John Beck very well may win the starting job in Miami from Culpepper where he'll be able

to throw to Chambers, McMichael, and their 9th pick this year, Ted Ginn Jr.  Chris Henry has only the injury

prone Chris Brown in front of him on Tennessee.  Brandon Jackson comes onto a Green Bay team with a very

weak run game currently led by Vernand Morency. Although the Vikings don't really have much of a

quarterback, if Sidney Rice can perform, he could easily win the #1 WR spot on Minnesota.

Also, make sure to submit your contract extension form as soon as possible.
